Sidra has many architectural features representing the sails of a traditional Dhow and the curvatures found on wind-blown sand dunes. It’s the only hospital that offers three colour-coded main towers to lead both patients and visitors to the right specialties and a healing garden space underneath the tower atria; the tension cable wall gives the ground and mezzanine areas an open aspect of external light via high-performance glazing. There are also four smaller internal atria that offer light and space to the higher level and acoustic panelling to ensure that the environment reflects the standards set by the healing garden areas.
